APPOINTMENTS

Demand for appointments remain high and not everyone needs to be seen by a GP nor another clinician. To ensure safety, there is a cap of how many appointments each clinician can deliver. We consider guidance from the BMA (British Medical Association), LMC (Local Medical Committee), etc

We have a multi-disciplinary health professional team. This means we can deliver more appointments than a traditional team of doctors. After asking the reason for appointment our team can direct you to the right professional at the right time. This does not always need to be a GP.

We offer a mix of telephone and in person appointments. A small number of pre-bookable and same day appointments. Audits show a high number of patients do not attend pre-bookable appointments, so please book wisely.

Nurse appointments can be booked in advance.

Our appointment line is very busy between 8.30am and 10.00am; and between 12noon and 2pm. If you are calling for other matters please ring outside these times.
