Calls to NHS 111 service are free from both Landlines and Mobile Phones.
The surgery is closed from 6.30pm to 8.00am Monday – Friday, and all weekend and Bank Holidays. During the evening, the night and at weekends, out of hours calls for genuine medical emergencies that will not wait until the surgery reopens are dealt with by Out of Hours service.
Out of hours is based at The Lister Hospital and you may be required to attend there if you are medically fit to travel. There is a doctor available to visit patients who are too ill to travel. Always ring the Out of Hours service first – do not just turn up as the unit may not be manned at all times. The current phone number is also obtained by ringing 01438 312097 and listening to the recorded message.
If there is any delay in responding to an ABSOLUTE EMERGENCY the paramedic service is available on 999. In case of an accident the nearest casualty units are at The Lister Hospital.
Extended Access appointments:
